COOKING TEMPERATURES

At Aussie Porta Spit we always recommend using a meat thermometer to check if foods are cooked to perfection. When you believe your meat is cooked turn off motor and remove rotisserie shaft with meat from the Aussie Porta Spit immediately. Insert the thermometer into the thickest part of the meat and leave for a minute or two. If meat is not ready remove thermometer and return to Aussie Porta Spit. If at required temperature, cover and let stand for approximately 10-15 minutes to relax the meat.

If you use the following table as a guide you will receive succulent results every time. When using a thermometer on meats with bones avoid the bone as this is always much hotter.
